Like the U.S., Australia is home to many different ethnicities, races, cultures, and people. This, however, does not mean that there is no such thing as an Australian. The country is part of the Anglosphere, countries that share a common history, culture, language, form of government, and legal concepts. People of Australia are "unique in their belief that every man is as good as his master, that ability and hard work lead to success, that mateship is paramount, that life shouldn't be taken too seriously, and that it's important to be optimistic". Australians also love sports and usually are very competitive. Values and beliefs including multiculturalism, cultural relativism, and common agreement are an essential part of Australian heritage. Despite these beliefs, the people of this nation also have cultural identity crisis.
